About the Project
We worked with our customer, an Architecture firm in the Netherlands, to create an architectural model of their next big project.
The customer provided us the technical drawing and a SketchUp file of the villa. The 3D drawing provided wasn’t suitable for 3D printing, but was utilized for reference. After an initial brainstorming meeting, it was defined which parts would need a high level of small details, and we assigned a different color for different sections.
We recreated a 3D model of the villa, making sure to have the correct size and proportion. In addition, we separated the 3D model to be able to 3D print the parts with different printing techniques and different colors.
In less than 6 weeks we were able to create the 3D design, 3D print all the parts, CNC the base and assemble 2 of this Architectural models, one will be located in the showroom of the firm and the other one was delivered to the customer.
