Bio-inspired cattail structure using TPU – 3D Printed enclosure for PCB

About the Project

In collaboration with Cristina Machín Llanos and supervised by Mehrshad Mehrpouya, Ph.D., we 3D printed a bio-inspired cattail structure using TPU.
This structure was initially generated by Cristina and printed on a 2D flat surface. Thanks to its design, it can adapt to complex 3D shapes. In her thesis, Cristina applied this structure to a helmet liner, demonstrating its practicality and innovation.
